A few days left before I leave the campus for my home and then for my internship in Mumbai. A large void has emerged in life with the end of my end semester exams. Everything seems so enticing during exams-the mind is clouded with a sea of supersonic ideas-regarding government policies, ants on walls, leaves lying lifeless on ground-anything !
Most of my peer group and wingies would be passing out from the college -hopefully in some weeks time. It would be like the end of an era for them- new routine, new objectives in life, new strategies regarding number of baths per week, no more hassle of quizzes and exams. Perhaps my wingies would retain their Mission Make Gf and Play Poker Forever. I am hardly emotional or get moved by parting from friends but I do like to introspect about the changes that are thrust upon our lives and where would we have stood in life had we not met at our Alma Mater. When I return from intern the wing sample population would be reduced to 12 from 28 elements(Yes Panda I have included you too).
Since people might be take time to get used to constant cash flows via salary and bonuses I have already instructed some bhais of mine to send me money monthly for my canteen bill and other misc. expenses. This way I would also remember them and they wont have to worry how to invest their money. Besides I am am making a list of things I believe my parting wingies wont be needing- Mp3 player, bicycle, charger, belt etc.
Some of the people are leaving for Darjeeling after a week. I wish good luck to them and hope their journey is as memorable as our Nainital trip at the end of our sixth semester. I believe it is time that the secrets of Nainital trip should be revealed to everyone.

The trip was planned with utter care and delicacy- the booking of train from Lucknow to Kathgodam, booking the room in Nainital, searching about places to see and Utpal repeating tens of times "abe cream and camera rakh lena".What we did is took a local from Kanpur to Lucknow which got delayed, saw our train at the far end of Lucknow platform, ran an Olympic race more than 600 m with bags in hands and reduced the gap to 30m, missed the train, played Hearts ,ate a crappy meal at 1 PM night and took another local to Kanpur which did not get delayed. I don't think I have ever run with such will power or motivation even on the athletic track as that day. We tried catching a train via Bareilly but apparently some sons of bitches thought it would be fun to start riots in Bareilly and hinder our progress.
The trip end on a high note with Utpal saying "abe cream choot gya tha".

It is amazing how trains have become such an integral part of my life. I like trains- specially the ones on time.
