Summers @ IIT K Campus

Long time.......bck to blogs.....no acads no quizzes......still feeling the heat.....if u evr had been to Ranchi u wd probably think i m mad to leave my hometown to spend my summers in Kanpur..... its nice n windy there ...it rains frequently to keep the mercury under check.....and i dont have to live on the topmost floor.....anyways cant complain much....The Mighty Gods have not sent me to Sahara yet.....


I am not sure wat exactly i am doing at the IIT right now.....some people are doing projects....some are involved in sports....some in club stuff like robotics,etc......i dnt think i m doing a project...as i wd hv started reading something if i were.....i am definitly not involved in clubs....Lets say i am living life a bit......does nt feel cool grt saying i am doing nothing........playing CS, watching movies, some athletics n deep breathing during evening with my feet on lightly wet grass as wind blows across my face wiping my sweat....this is the best part of the day....i cn relax and be idle and watch people (no wrong intentions please)...watch small kids doing funny taekwando .....and my legs good....i feel strong and muscles seem so energetic.....Only bad thing that happened in the ground is that someone ate my newly bought Glucose pack.....in 1 day its nearly half gone....bt i can live with that!!......


Wen i returned to the campus....i could not even sleep....room feels like a tandoor.....its really hot here....hotter than Cheerleaders!!.....high temp n humidity.....i try to lie down....bt the bed so warm.....made me jump up n switch my position....or i would be sprinkling water on the bed....or go and wash my head......in an hour i have done all and yet to droop my eyelids....I m blessed there were no mosqitoes....Mosqi bhais if present in such unhuman conditions can drive you to run back to the station and catch the first return train.....bt situations have certainly improved since then.....now i can concentrate on my gun n track the Counter Terrorists the entire night.....without wiping my face all the time.....i wonder wat would have happened if CS wud hv been made by the Al Qayda people...perhaps besides planting the bomb the target wd hv been to make terror videos n send it to other countries or marry lots of women with black dementor like hoods n increment your players in the game....!!....


Watched some grt movies in last few days.....Flags of our Fathers-about some heroes of Vietnamese war....i learned a new word in the movie-corpseman -its not a superman or batman type thing.....still it saves lives.......other movies Rescuing Dawn, SpyGame, Aanand an hindi oldie goldie....revised Pirates series n Bourne Identity.....35-40 movies still occupy lots of Harddisk....hv to quickly finish them off!!....On stranger tides does not seem to be grossing much money as the prev three parts.....yet i am keen to watch Sparrow sail on his ship.....besides i find Penelope quite cute....


Mumbai Indians sent down to third in the points table....thnx to some idiotic batting performances.....KKR fans finally can cheer after 3 disappointing years.....first time they would play a semis match....MI for the second time...RCB for the third time.....n the bastards CSK for the fourth time.....last day of league matches......today CSK vs RCB.....n MI vs KKR.....Sachin's orange cup gone.....i wonder if some years later would name it SACHIN cap in his honour....i would like that...!!...


No more Dear....No more complications.....besides the Spi-Cpi thing is taking a toll on me.....i didnt know before coming to college that they would annoy so much.....trying to learn some HTML.....i like the symbols '<' and '>' ....they look coool!!.....and i love 'marquee'...(thats not a girls name pls).......Went to library few times to study something useful.....got my first book issued at IIT K after 4 sems....finally....it was an Artificial Neural Networks Book ....the lucky one..!!....Someone get the Champagne.....!!....i didnt read it of course....it had funny equations...!!...After some visits n discussions with my deptmnt friend i came to the conclusion that ANN are cool and i should study them nex time!!.....read Three Men In a Boat by Jerome K Jerome....the author's writing style and tone has definitely made a deep impact on mine.....

Monotonicity

Days hv become so unhappening.....people all around dating their books and pdfs......visiting library.....attending classes.....my day normally starts at 11 or 12.....when i meet people returning from classes waving to me as i brush..!!......


Feeling the heat of the MTH department of IIT K.....compared to it The Great Kanpur Summer stands nowhere......Ominous things keep tumbling into my mind regard exams......scary things.....!!...After every Logic class my heart says its time to declare emergency.....as Comlpleteness, compactness and skewness echoes in my dazed head.......You never know in IIT K when things actually slip out of your grip..slowly by slowly....."bas aaj class nai ja rhe hain....kal cover kr lenge....." or "weekend aa rha hai....is weekend pe ye ye sab pad lenge.....thoda ye bi dekh lenge n iska ye assignment nipta lenge.." and on weekend your mind wanders in strange lands as you peacefully enjoy one of sweetest gifts of God- sleep or you wander in combat mode in n enemy territories in Call of Duty....!!


IPL the mega cricket fest......MI beat Pune...!!......I wnt mind if Sachin scores a ton in each match n MIndians lose each match...!!...Preferably if he goes not out each time too...!!...
Though i dnt like T 20.......wenever i try to study...my lappy automatically opens webcric.com and tunes to live streaming of blistering sixes n fours accompanied with timely wickets fallin......funny thg this time that even KKR is winning.......i dnt know wat Ganguly wud be thinkin..!!....


Summers causin my canteen bill to increment rapidly......an ice cream a day keeps money away...!!...
After a couple of days of not quarreling with dear...back on track.....Again i upset her.....i wonder why do i have to apologise every time...!!...vl definitely think over that after exams...!!....i have been accused of not caring and being deceptive in showing care......!!... ignored her....had to study....!!...She Became redder it seems....!!....Surprisingly she cooled quickly n we reconciled to our friendly relation...!!...


Wednesday 20*04*2011 golden day fr me....spent my longest ever time in the lib.....next record on target...To get my first book issued from lib.....!!...Feels gud wen u return frm the lib at 11 30pm like othr studious people...!!....

The End Sem Returns

One and the only thg i like abt the time near end sems : Classes are less and there lots of holidays.....nt that i wd hv attended them in case there were classes...bt at least i dnt feel guilty of sittin all the time at room missin classses..!!.....Startin to study bit by bit....even goin to lib at times.....


The last visit did nt come out to b effective though.....I n Vyas felt sleepy all the time...besides i hv this weird habit of feelin hungry wenevr i study.....in 3 hours i we ate at the canteen, slept , strolled , discussed who reads all these books...!!...Aftr Vyas surrendered to his drooping eyelids i took the responsibilty on my shoulders and nearly solved one whole problem from the assignment...with solution copied earlier from some1 in front of me...!!...


Suddenly i had this scholarly idea of .surveying the books.....i strolled through the game programming scenes to the literature secn where I found a Shakespearean work i had read in past-Julius caesar.......The Force of the Universe(ref-Star Wars)  caused me to reach fr it and go through a Flavius-Marullus-Cobbler conversation........I proceeded.....I made a mental note of reading A Passage to India someday.......strollin more....even found a Bhojpuri book written by some learned Proff......i wonder why i cared to see that....!!...


Mumbai Indians lost their last match againstt Kochi Tuskers.....It broke my heart...esp after Sachin scored his maiden IPL century......I dnt like Jayawardhane since my school days.....he irritates the way he plays almost every ball either square or behind the wicket and still manages to score quickly....!!...


I forgot to mention in my earlier blogs abt some peculiar dreams i had....in fact i hv been dreamin weird things these days and of course nights...!....there ws a dream in which i ws smokin a cigarette....u might wonder wats weird in smokin?....bt hv u seen a cigarette with a green flame..!!??....i wish i cd rewind and play that dream again....bt perhaps my dreams dnt seem to support that technology right now...!!...There ws anothr dream abt...even stranger.....i hv nt told abt this to any1....I m nt sure whom i ws talkin to bt he had a big beard-white.....and he rode horse.....i think it was Gandalf.....n in d dream some1 stole somethg frm me.....n he told me some funny place names.....like in the LOTR movie map.....and i ran to places....and there was funny switichin of time....meaning....the dream involoved a lemonade shop and some shopkeeper makin fun of me....i dnt remember much bt xcept that it ws nt a bad dream.....
I wonder if its anythg related to seein too much of movies....i dnt think so...bcos i hv nt seen LOTR lately.....if at all it shd be related i shd be seein perhaps boxing dreams or mayb animated ones.....animated dreams wd be supernice.... wish i cd install it....!


Talked lots to Dear aftr lots of quarreling and lots of apologising.....it makes me bit easy at heart...listening  Three Doors Down these days.....Kryptonite....Behind those eyes....Loser....Landing in London.....

As Days Pass By.....

Days are passing so quickly in the campus.....i will have to move with c velocity to write blog fr each individual day......The celebrations of the world cup have subsided and friends are regrouping and taking sides for their favourite IPL teams....I dont doubt Mumbai Indians will have maximum support....the Sachin image shadow people's minds....Delhi seem to appear underdogs while Bangalore looks star studded.....I dont like T-20 cricket very much.....thought it might b a hit in the country.....but hot cheerleaders ...colourful dress...hard hitting....people like that.....


Watching TV series Chuck....after watching Chuck you will know that Chuck and his two CIA partners Sarah and Casey can win a world war alone.....!!...I wonder why the Chuck Norris jokes are not meant for Chuck...!!...They can go to any country and fool every1 and kidnap any1...and do everything from identifying fatal gases to mindblowing dancing or cooking...!!....and i used to laugh at the Sony's CID...!!..Still i cant find anything as addicting as the TV series Prison Break..!!...


Hall(hostel) elections in the air....first years come and torcher with lots of manifestos promising things.....like we r interested..!!...huh....i have already seen much of them last year.....not my stuff all these....wingies and cordi team looks much concerned....!!...all i am concerned is the Mess..!!...Mess is important.....essential for survival...!!....it might be a surprise if i vote..!!..2 days of extra holidays...Ambedkar Jayanti and Ramnavmi ....ease my mind...result?..i dont attend class on Mon n Wed...to make it holidays frm Sat to Wed in a row..!!..i might well hv gone home..!!...


Akshat the tapeworm guy's  bday today....i forgot at night....!!...Some1 asked me if his fb account was hacked....i denied and coolly said his bday was quite far.....on 14th April....!!...I sympathised with him later....wen he did not get the long and well wishing wishes from the feminine section.....obviously people are not much convinced when your fb account shows your bday about 6 times an year...!!...


Dear not very happy....it happens every time i spend money to get Airtel STD tariff...!!...i wonder if its a conspiracy..!!...I try to cheer her..!!...
Astha a friend of mine met someone unpleasant.....Accident.....not much details i have....but she has a fracture......Let her bones unite in peace......n may Mighty God shower Calcium and other healing stuff required on her.......


Felicitation for the 4th years who once belonged to our hall....I went down to the quad...spent my coupons on food....obviously brought from Hell made by devils.....judging by the fire and chillies in the food....Its a wonder how people can still make food more horrible than our normal mess food...!!...Must b hell lot of talented...!!...

Half Marathon-21,10,5 km held on Sunday.......i ws awake till 4:30 am fully sure that i ws not going anywhere....n i slept....Something weird happened.....only half hour later i woke and was at the  main stadium in Utpal's shoes....with Varun.....I dont feel like explaining but i somehow completed the 10km.....Perhaps the Force was with me...!!it ws nt bad...i ws 7th or 8th.......bt the bastards did not even give a participation certificate.....all they gave was salted Uncle Chips and overnight's samosa so treated with air that would make rats grunt in disgust......n a jumpin....!!...Who wants Chips or samosa when your mouth is dried like Arabian sands...!!??!!....

No matter who u r in IIT K....u wont stop sayin.....aaj kl bahut class miss ho rha hai......!!....d most common victims of this r the MME n EE guys...dnt kno abt gals....!!....4 classes in 3 days is nt at all bad...esp wid my 2nd sem bckground vn i might go i class in a week n still regret it...!!...Brijesh a maniac proff....known fr his historic gradin out of his temper at short attendance....i ws so frustated.....i did nt attend ny of his class in d sem aftr first three Engng Drawin classes....n vl i did...!!....I wonder why m i pelting my acads on u......

Every1 is askin 2 questions dese days here....elective me kya bhara?....Summer me kya kr rha hai?....Spendin summer at home cn b painful a bit.....d contrast in lifestyle n routine might worry ur parents.....as heard frm my IIT friends.....esp wen u wake up at 8 at n ur parents say is dis a tym to wake....n u might wonder wat wd happen if u wd hv woken at 1...!!...

I like thrusdays here....Any day minus algebra is a good day!!....I  think its time to use our IIT K facilities.....after all we pay 40000 per sem.....!! ...so went to lib.....even borrowed a book....dnt want to boast more..!!...

Heard rumors of wing treat.....d fortnightly or sometimes "every 20 days" fest of my wing.....in d evenin....IIT K is conducting a Half marathon on Sunday....went to ground to condition myself.......result??.....super duper Ultimate hunger......glad abt d treat ...!!.

After surveyin much of Swarup Nagar in Kanpur city....bcos d auto driver had no idea abt d Flames restaurant n partly bcos some dark 110 kilo Bhasand gave weird road instructions.......we had a decent meal......wid wingies tryin to gobble more n more.........everythg ws vl xcept i did nt get baked veg.....dat hurts....i dnt kno d spelling of scisslors......hope u gt it..!!....i also got it ...wid cheese..!!......dn to CCD....i never eat personally at CCD...mostly bcos its super expensive....n more dn mostly it hs no water n wash basin.....bt treats r fee..!!....i ate somethg blue n white chocolated wid nuts.....yummy...!!....i wish our mess gives some of dese...!!....People wid spoons invaded here n dere tryin to get hold of nythg chocolaty...ice creamy.....I defended vl.......

Nightmare start fr India....Sehwag Sachin depart early......entire blue stadium ws shocked...Gambhir played innings of his life....Dhoni....he is nt Dhoni..he is Midas!!.....the skipper answred his critics wid a World Cup winnin six...leadin him to 91....Cd we believe it.....finally after 1983 India has won the WC.....the country went crazy....People cried wid happiness.....I ws speechless at tyms n screamin at tyms.....d pains of 2003 finals finally heal....it cd be seen in tears of joy of Bhajji, Sachin,......i watched the heartbeat raisin six abt 18 times later.......Sites,media,streets went mad n coloured wid tricolor.......Dhoni man of the  match....Yuvi of d series....!!.....Sachin has his diamond fr his 21 yr crown......

I felt so happy.....like some dream has come true.....my heart felt content....i thanked GOD....d feelin of bein d World Champions is awesome!!.....This is a day we shall cherish n tell abt to generations in future......d joy....d feeling of National celebration......
